A Lesson in Sticking to Your Principles
If we have met misfortune from a choice, gone through a tough loss, and/or make a colossal mistake.
We must learn a lesson and find the principal that needs to be applied – for next time
What principles do you live by?
Any?
Can you name two?
Our house cannot hold unless it’s held on principles.
We cannot stay standing unless we stand on healthy principles.
Trust wisdom.
After all… it’s knowledge PLUS experience.
First-time homebuyers learn the hard way when the house sits on beautiful land but was neglected for too long and is all wrong.
Know what matters and hold to it
Principles are your pillars
And they are a solid cement foundation
Stick to your principles – just make sure they are healthy, good, wise, and strong.
Make sure they are rich with virtue, morals, and ethics.
The moment you realize you have compromised a principle you want to live by,
Stop, acknowledge, and remember the last painful lesson of choosing outside of those pillars.
Then, choose again. Choose differently even if it’s hard to walk away and heartbreaking to not attach a dream in that instant.
Heartbreak now, saves future heartbreak later.
Don’t get swept away from all that truly matters.
We have principles to live by for a reason.
They are needed and necessary.
We must learn the lessons, and create principles.
We must pour cement down and restack our stone wall.
We must learn to lose gracefully and let go more easily.
We must be able to say no, when no is the best answer for us, even if it doesn’t suit them.
We must do what others won’t do for others.
We must live and work with integrity, even if no one is watching us work.
We must face the doubters, haters, and negative critics with the power of our principles.
Our principles lead to peace.
All other buildings will crumble.
